We believe in self-custody. No middle man, no custodian apps - the way it's supposed to be.
CB Plug has no custodial apps because we believe no one should have custody over your digital assets but you. We send assets manually and directly to your wallet address, communicating with you every step of the way.
Once assets are sent to your wallet, we recommend transferring them safely to a cold storage device like a Ledger. If your assets stay online in any wallet or app, they're not fully protected from loss ( think FTX ). If anything happens to that app, your assets may be gone forever!
Before purchasing assets, all clients must complete a KYC check for your safety and ours.
KYC stands for "Know Your Customer". This is a simple process, similar to a background check, where a client provides information to verify their identity, and also identify any potential fraud concerns or history of illegal activity. Information that needs to be provided can include:
Our first priority is the safety of our clients and the integrity of our services. Completing the KYC process is mandatory before any services take place to acquire assets.
After submitting your information, KYC is usually approved or denied by our third-party clearance service between 24 to 48 hours. If you do not receive an email or communication from us after that timeframe, feel free to call our office at (424) 312-9796 to check on the status.
